What is an escape room/escape game?

An escape room is a puzzle solving and teamwork-based activity in which your team is placed in a room and given an overarching mission to complete within 60 minutes.

Who can play this game?

Almost everyone can play the game as long as you would like to experience a fun and immersive time with your buddies.

Due to safety, we require all players under 18 to be accompanied by an adult in the game. All our games are family-friendly.

Why play at UNLOCKED?

Our team is comprised of escape game fanatics, having a combined completion of >300 escape rooms ranging from SoCal to Vegas to Seattle to Vancouver. We love the game, and we would love to contribute back. Knowing that there are many options for other escape room fanatics like ourselves, we set out to be different with our fully customized set pieces and immersive gameplay to provide an exciting experience where YOU are the star.

How difficult are the games?

Our escape games consists of a variety of puzzles that are of a variety of difficulty. Our games are displayed with a difficulty rating on the booking page. The games are designed to be completed within 60 minutes with concentration and you do not need any special skills other than using your brain and acting quickly!

How much does it cost?

Our current pricing for in-person experience varies per game and you’ll see the details on the games’ booking page. Generally there is a base rate for 2-4 players and a per-player rate for players beyond 4.

Can I add players after I already booked?

Yes you can! Just make sure you email us to let us know how many you’ll be adding. The total amount of players in your group can not exceed the maximum allowable for the game.

What do we bring? Can we dress up?

Going into the room, we will provide you with a container to store your belongings such as your cell phone, keys, and the like. The container will stay with you in the room so you will not lose sight of it.

Dressing up is optional and fun, but keep in mind that you will need to be able to comfortably maneuver around the rooms for puzzle searching and solving.

Will it be safe during the game?

Yes, but as with any public amusement, there will be a waiver form you will need to review. All rooms will be monitored by camera and there will be mechanisms for you to leave in case of an emergency.

With COVID-19, the CDC recommends all players to wear masks during in-person experiences. We ventilate each of our games and run HEPA filters throughout the day, as well as added additional time between games and cleaning measures to sanitize play and lobby areas.

Will I be placed in a room with strangers?

All of our games are PRIVATE events. You will be within your own comfort zone and with people you know. We will never put you in a room escape with strangers.

Do you have a live actor in your games?

All of our games are self-contained and do not have live actors in the rooms with you.

Can I play your games in a wheelchair?

If you are in a wheelchair, we do not recommend our Return of the Magician or Game On: UNLOCKED Arcade games. Please book the Against Us: Space Team game.

I can’t come anymore. Can I get a refund?

Due to the nature of every game being a booked appointment, we unfortunately cannot allow cancellations. Rescheduling will be handled on a case-by-case basis and we do not allow refunds.  You are allowed 1 reschedule; It will be at no cost if you notify us of a reschedule at least 24 hours in advance. If you notify us less than 24 hours from your appointment, there will be a $120 fee associated with the reschedule.
